To close your performance gap we are going to ask you to SHIFT your focus from the visible to the invisible. Golf is ultimately a contest of personal strategy and execution so let's start your shift journey with that in mind. Our goals: better decision making, raise the level of your on course execution, and more ef
Course management starts with self management. Better decision making starts with a deep dive into your golfing identity. We can't talk about strategy until you have a realistic understanding of what you can and can't do on the course. Your first lesson: it's a lot more than just knowing how far you hit the ball.
Good shots come from good swings but where do good swings come from? Let us introduce you to the Anatomy of a Golf Shot. Once you understand the key elements then you will know why elite players don't trust their swings, they trust their routines. Say goodbye to situational interference and say hello to improved execution and psot shot resilience.
It's about practicing the right things the right way. That is different for everybody. Your job is to find the right things and the right way for you. Mastery of the fundamental four and bringing the course to the range are the key pieces for sustained improvement.

Trust me, this is the hardest part of the SHIFT. The temptation of returning to the "easy" technique fix and the comfort of high repetition single skill practice will continue to beckon as long as you play the game. Like all worthwhile pursuits, though, you are all out...unless you are all in.
"I have observed in my lifetime commitment to this game that all players, even the best in the world, have a performance gap which keeps them from shooting their best scores more often. With our inventive "Performance Gap Golf Program", I look forward to helping players recognize their identity as a golfer and map a path to successful scoring through management of the triad of skill, mindset, and emotional resilience."
Thirty years ago I made the SHIFT to working on my game instead of chasing the perfect swing. I went from battling to keep my card every year to being a tour winner and a consistent top 50 performer. The SHIFT is the secret to my golfing success and now I want to share it with you.
I continue to be reminded daily that most of my students think the #1 cause of poor play is their technique. My guiding principle as a coach is not to ignore this type of thinking but to first create awareness of the many mental and physical roadblocks that are ever present in the playing environment. When discoveries are made here, and awareness is heightened, both play and practice often become a new and enlightening experience.
