How wide is yours, and more importantly, what are the contributing factors?
To answer that question we ask our students to start with this exercise; The next time you play hit two balls off each tee. Then play a best ball scramble from your best tee shot and a worst ball scramble from your worst tee shot. The difference between your best and worst ball scores is your "Performance Gap." This exercise is our way of showing you just how good you can be with the swing you already have while also helping you discover what is keeping you from realizing that potential. The performance gap scramble will prove to you once and for all that to play better golf what you really need to do is SHIFT from working on your swing to working on your game.
To help you identify and then address your personal barriers to scoring. When you start with the performance gap scramble you will realize that it is not your swing that is holding you back. It's the way you play the game. In our experience players can save strokes quickly and sustainably by focusing on these three things.
-Improved Decision Making
-Better On Course Execution
-More Effective Practice
If you can SHIFT your focus to strengthening these three skills instead of always chasing a new and improved swing, then your performance gap will close...quickly.
We want you to swing your swing and SHIFT your focus to getting better at "playing" golf. It's easy, it works, and it's a lot more fun than endlessly trying to revamp your swing.
